Tryon Creek

Tryon Creek

$9.00

Tryon Creek is a classic cabled cardigan with shawl collar and pockets. A plump lateral braid (instructions included) adds structure and a design element at the top of the shoulders.

Construction is top-down and seamless with slightly dropped shoulders. There’s plenty of structure built into the design so that it will keep its shape even after lots of wear. Pockets are set in as the body is worked and then sides are tacked down after blocking. The side panels in reverse stockinette offer easy sizing adjustments and the option to add increases for additional width at the hemline.

Pattern is written for 2x2 ribbing that flows out from the cable stitches on the hem, pocket and sleeve cuffs, but it also includes a more simple option for 1x1 ribbing.

Tryon Creek will look good in any DK to light worsted yarn that meets gauge, has little color variation, and good stitch definition. And with its unisex styling, the design looks equally great on everyone!

Choose a size that is about 6 inches / 15 cm larger than chest measurement.
