South Falls Cowl

South Falls Cowl

$7.00

Sometimes the most beautiful things are also rugged and powerful and dangerous. Waterfalls are like that. I will always remember the first time I stood in awe behind South Falls and felt the incredible energy of the waterfall.

Rugged bands of garter and lace team up in a comfortable cowl that has multiple wearing options. Choose the optional seam at the back neck for a permanent cowl or make it convertible by using buttons and the yo’s at the border so that it can also be worn as a small shawl. South Falls is worked on the bias from one end to the other, ending in a nearly symmetrical triangle. Make it as big as you like by adding additional repeats. Want a full-size shawl? Just add a couple of repeats.

The pattern is written for fingering yarn but can be made in any yarn weight. Size and yardage required will vary with yarn and options chosen.

INSPIRATION – Silver Falls State Park has a hiking trail that goes past TEN waterfalls. South Falls is the tallest single drop falls at 177 feet and there’s a paved trail that leads to and behind the falls where the energy in the air is incredible.

The instructions are both written and charted and the pattern has been professionally tech edited and tested.
