Santiam Canyon
Santiam Canyon
The Santiam Canyon, where I grew up, was recently devastated by wildfires. The Santiam Canyon is in the Cascade foothills in Oregon and is beautifully forested, abounds with rivers, waterfalls, farms (including Christmas trees, vineyards, and strawberries), and incredible views of valleys and mountain ranges.
Santiam Canyon is a fun pullover with wide ribbing for texture and the design motif at the raglan seams that flows on down the sleeves and into the long cuffs.
It's seamless and top-down so you can try it on as you go, and it's an easy stitch pattern that requires no charts… just an enjoyable knit and a stunning and comfortable sweater to wear!
The neckline is wide and deep with a choice of funnel or cowl neck, and the body profile is a slight A-line for a flattering fit. The collar is worked in a narrow rib as is the optional hemline ribbing. Make it to your preferred length!
The yoke construction is raglan with short row shaping at the back neckline for a comfortable fit. The body is worked in wide ribbing (blocked open) and the stockinette sleeves have an extension of the raglan panel detail running down them and into the deep ribbed cuffs.
This pattern has been professionally tech-edited and tested. Instructions are written with no need for charts.
