Puget Sound Hat

Puget Sound Hat

$5.50

The rugged and textured colorwork design for this hat is inspired by the vast Puget Sound with its islands, forests and waterways in the Pacific Northwest.

The colorwork on Puget Sound is worked using only one color on any given round. This is a great introduction to easy colorwork without the hassle of carrying two strands of yarn at once. The hat can be made with or without a pom pom.

Just for fun, use MC instead of CC for one trunk stitch on one tree and pin or sew a little sparkle button on top of it later or just let people try to find the missing tree branch in the forest….or even place the sparkle at the top of a tree for over the holidays!

The Puget Sound hat is truly unisex, is offered in 5 sizes, and can be made in many yarn weights. The size will vary depending on yarn weight and gauge.

Speaking of options, choose your hat brim: Double layer, foldover, or single layer and don’t forget the sparkly button option!

Puget Sound is a great way to use up stash and leftover yarn from other projects…and be sure to check out the Puget Sound Pullover.

This pattern has been professionally tech-edited and tested. Instructions are included on how to read and work the mosaic colorwork charts.
